I like Frontier too. The DirecTV is a good distraction from the boredom and they fly non-stop to my local airport. Can't beat it.

I support Frontier wherever I can. United may have the largest airline payroll in Denver, but they're still a Chicago-based company. Still, if you need to go somewhere Frontier doesn't, best choice for that is United.

Thanks all. I feel better. I think I can handle the turbulence. Does anyone know if you can watch the direct tv on frontier until the time you land, or do they shut it off during the descent?
As long as the turbulence is light I can handle it. Nothing more than that.

Hmm, I think it might be on all the way down. The screens are on whether you pay or not (you pay for audio) and the first time I flew into Denver I remember watching the GPS channel during the whole descent and the even the ride to the terminal. Its cool because it shows altitude (above sea level, so you'll land around 5500') and speed. So at least that much is always on. They do turn it off during the safety speech and course changes during flight will temporarily interrupt the signal.

I've flown into and out of Denver countless times and never had a problem. I don't have any evidence to back up this claim, but it SEEMS like my flights to and from the west coast are a bit rougher (when leaving Denver initially and then when approaching the airport on return) than those going east. Still though, I would say that the turbulence is relatively minor most times.

lol! You can't judge an entire airport by one experience. Worst turbulence I've ever experienced was flying into Kansas City, but I wouldn't cross it off my list of places to fly. I've flown in and out of Denver at least 50 times in the past 5 years, and never had a problem. It can happen anywhere.
