I am moving to Denver to finish my last year of schooling. The school is located in Lakewood. However, I am not sure where the safest place to go is! I am from a town of about 45,000 so Denver is a slight change! I want to be near to my school in Lakewood (Colorado School of Healing Arts), but also want to be able to access the downtown area fairly easily!

I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but you could check out Wheat Ridge. There are a lot of apartments and it isn't too far from your school. There is also easy access to downtown via I-70.

Bel Mar is a cute area, I second that idea.. once we know budget, size, etc.. you'll probably get more advice.
