Honestly, I don't mind a long commute - I'm from Jersey, where such things are standard. Also, I might be able to avoid the worst of it, depending on the work schedule and its level of flexibility.
You started this thread asking how bad a commute it would be - if your mind was made up, why bother asking?

I was just asking so I would know what I was getting into if I actually get the job and to keep the info in mind when I go house hunting. I do like the area my friend moved into quite a bit, and depending on the requirements of the job, I may be able to move there as well and avoid the worst of the commute. Where I used to live, 1-hour commutes are standard and 90-minute commutes don't raise too many eyebrows, so I think my perspective is a little different. A 1-hour commute certainly wouldn't be ideal for me, but I may be able to swing things so that I avoid the worst of it. Currently, I work a mandatory 50-hour week from home (and frequently pull down more hours beyond that), so a regular 9-5 gig with a bad commute wouldn't necessarily be too much of a stretch. But this is all irrelevant if I don't get the job. Thanks for the input!

There's been times when I've commuted home (I-225/Tamarac, not that far from Parker/Iliff) in the morning from Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge.

It's not one of my favorite commutes (well, the change of scenery is nice), but there are several different ways you can go.

1) 38th (or 32nd )>Federal>Evans
2) The standard sun in your eyes Sheridan>6th>I-25>Evans
3) get to Federal>Alameda>Leetsdale

There are far worse commutes to have. Now if you said you were thinking of moving to Broomfield or something.....

Good luck.

Very useful - thank you! I don't think Broomfield is an option for me right now
