HI
If anyone can share where the better areas would be for investment property. We are looking to relocate - still not sure if CS or Denver - have found some good rental/investment areas in CS but wondered where to start in Denver and surrounds. Looking around 80- 180K for fixer upper and to keep for long term investment. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks to all who take the time to respond to all the posts - I love reading the feedback here!

Look for neighborhoods surrounding high employment areas. Denver, DTC, Interlocken, DIA.

$175,000 gets a moderate fix up in Montbello Parkfield or Green Valley Ranch.

Always get a property inspected. Even the HUD/VA ones with no inspection provision. You need to know what you are getting yourself into, in case it would be better to walk away.

We have expansive soils here, if you see excessive cracking in the basement (walls or floor larger than a head of a nickel would fit into) or drywall, it is usually better to walk away, or at the very least hire a structural engineer, prior to making an offer.

You may have better luck in Colorado Springs. The housing is less down here. SHEP
