My brother is here visiting from out of town and I'm on vacation. I'm glad we didn't end up going out there last night, though not sure Aurora would have been the final destination anyway. Sending good thoughts to the families with victims.

This was the LAST thing I expected to read when I woke up this morning.

I don't understand this, people in Colorado are so laid back, I would expect to see this in other more hectic areas

This is not representative of "people in Colorado", or even Americans in general. This happens everywhere, unfortunately. It seems Colorado has just been the primary victim in recent years.

Right now I'm concerned because I have a friend living in Denver. I don't know if she was one of the persons shot.

Agreed. My first thought after reading the reports were WOW! Going out to see a movie and who would've thought it would come to a tragedy like this. My heart is heavy right now. Prayers from San Antone.

How quickly you forget how the armed man in Florida recently saved the lives of numerous people in the internet cafe.

People with CHLs are the responsible ones. Having responsible citizens armed makes those who care not about gun laws more likely to think twice before committing violent acts. Disarming the public only gives free reign to criminals who know they will face no resistance.

If critical thinking isn't your bag, you should look into it before calling others "nuts" as it reflects poorly on your already weak point of view.
