Hi!

My husband is looking at the possibility of accepting a job in Englewood, and I have a few questions for people...

First, I am a RN, but currently stay home with our baby and wondered when I did go back to work if RNs are having a difficult time finding jobs and even what the hourly rate looks like.

Second, if his job is in Englewood where are some areas to look at for housing that are affordable? Would CO Springs be too far of a drive? What sites do you recommend for searching properties for sale/rent.

Third, school districts are important because I do have a school aged child.

Thanks SO Much!!

Default We need more data

"Englewood" is meaningless. It is huge postal address (along with being a small city).
Can you provide his work address?

Colorado Springs would be insane.
I did that drive in 1980 and it was bad then.

Sure, I am so sorry! :-) I know nothing about CO other than weather. We are in OH currently.

His work address is Quantum, 8560 Upland Dr, Englewood 80112

Thanks!

Yeah, that's "fake" Englewood (a good 15 miles from the City of Englewood). Technically I think that's the Meridian area, although most people would consider it Centennial

Even being that far South in the metro area, Colorado Springs would not be a fun commute (especially in bad weather). The good news is the schools in that area are top notch whether you're in the Cherry Creek School District or Douglas County.

The best way to determine were you want to live,is to move to colorado and explore the neighberhoods. I am a moving in November of this year. I am staying with family first. Then i will look for a place to live in.

Agree, living in COLO SPGS is really out of the question.

The OP needs to be near his job if at all possible, and there are plenty of hospitals in Denver metro area for eventual re-entry into the workforce. There's one in Lone Tree (Sky Ridge?) on the south end of the metro area.

We always advise renting a year to learn the area but buying isn't out of the question if one does lots of homework and visits first.

Castle Rock is a neat town; very suburban.

If it really snows a lot, there will be closings, more school than work. If you work in health care, you better find a way to show up. Fortunately, this does not happen often.

Oh, I am used to going to work in the snow/ice. My dh was military and then worked on base and he frequently got snow days. So, I was more worried about his commute. I can work anywhere.

Do you find Castle Rock to be affordable? OR are there other neighborhoods that are more affordable?
