I am need some good rain gear for both hiking and motorcycling.

I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who has any advice/experience with rain gear that might "suit" ( pun intended!) both activities...

Gore-tex hard shells would be the best. I would stay away from anything that relies on a coating (DWR, durable water resistant.

These can range from like $150 - $500 or so

Check out the selection at Sierrra Trading Post, either at the store in Cheyenne or on-line.

IMO, hiking weight garments aren't up to the dual task of motorcycling. I've had a number of outerwear pieces that were very comfortable to hike and camp out in, but on the motorcycle ... the wind forces just drove the moisture through the openings and seams. Conversely, the motorcycle clothing was tailored for a riding position, not for freedom of movement and hiking.
