Nice, but if I had that kind of money, I'd go with an Aston Martin.

$15k-$20k will get us more than enough of what we want right now in either the Vette or Bimmer.

It is a smoky see through targa top as it is a daily driver so goes out in rain and snow.

Let me ask you: was there ever a time when you were cruising on a nice summer day with the top removed, and thought "wow this targa top is great, but a convertible would be even better."?

Can't say that we have. But we didn't get it for the convertible aspect, although the open air aspect can be fun. We got it for the acceleration, corning, overall sporty driving feel. There is no regret over the targa top. It has been durable and provides extra security when needed. If you have your heart set on a convertible I say go for it!
