Moving to Denver. Preschool and Church recomendations? (Colorado Springs, Parker: college, live)

Hello! I posted a while back about schools in the Denver area for a possible move, and it looks like that is going to happen in February. I still haven't gotten the Elementary school thing figured out, but I am going to call Douglas County schools on Monday and see what they can tell me. My daughter is in a GT program here in Fairfax County, so we'd like to keep her in one there. I'm sure we couldn't start her in a charter school this year.

In addition to my daughter, we have a four year old little guy who will be five on October 1 (the cut off for Douglas County schools for Kindergarten) and we don't plan to start him in kindergarten this coming school year. Does anyone have any good recommendations for preschools in the Parker area to consider for next year? Right now he goes to preschool at our church, and it is four days a week, for four hours a day. That is the sort of thing we'd be interested in, but the church part isn't absolutely necessary.

If the preschools there are anything like they are in the Northern VA area, I am assuming I wouldn't be able to get him in a program for the rest of this year, but I know that applications are usually taken this time of year FOR next year, and I want to make sure we can get him in somewhere.

In addition, any recommendations for churches in the Parker area would be awesome. I was raised Southern Baptist, and have attended the same church all my life. There aren't many Southern Baptist churches in the Denver suburbs it appears, so we are open to other types of protestant churches I don't think we'd want an ultra conservative church either. A great kids/teen program is the most important thing to me for my kids, but I would also love it if it had a great music/choir program as well.

Any other moving advice you care to share would be appreciated. My husband grew up in Colorado Springs, and lived in Denver for a while after college. For him, this is basically moving home. For me, other than college, I have never lived ANYWHERE other than Northern VA, so I am a bit nervous about the whole thing.

I cannot help on the pre-school bit but there is a pretty freindly church on Jordan Road I think it is call Southeast Community Church. Most of the southern baptist churches prefer the sbc moniker. And for some reason, I think there is one out where singing hills rd turns south. Not really as far as you might think.
