Hi Everyone,

My husband and I will soon be relocating to Colorado, the area of his job will be in Denver. I would like to know what areas we should look at to live... I like the country suburb type of living in nice areas, I just don't have a clue of what areas to look in. We live in AZ right now in a upper class suburb area and we really love it here however this move will be coming. I just want to find something comfortable to what we have now.

Thanks,
Miss Ann

What kind of price range are you looking at? Do you want an equivalent to your current neighborhood? Are you in the Phoenix area right now? More details will help the posters here (many of whom have an incredible amount of good info to share) help you narrow down your search.

Where will he be working, can you at least state the cross streets?

What is your price range?

With that info we can help you.

Douglas County is one of the wealthiest in the country. I'd start there--if your job is located South of Denver.

Where do you live in greater Phoenix?

Or Cherry Hills if he'll work more centrally.

Great question David! I live in the Anthem Country Club (Mountain Cove section, to be specific) and am currently looking at Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills High.

Just ask some real estate broker here to find you a house that's real expensive. Surely that neighborhood will be "classy".

Greenwood Village is a nice place, and CCHS is an excellent high school, but you might be in for some sticker shock when you check out housing.

I checked Trulia and found several houses for sale in Anthem CC with the most expensive being in the mid $600s. You will not get the same type of house in GV for that price. You can find a very nice home, but. personally, I think you get more bang for the buck in Centennial in the $450k range.
