Hello all, We are coming in to experience the atmosphere of the World Series (no tickets) and can't find reasonably priced lodging downtown (understandable). We might have a few drinks downtown Saturday night and would rather not drive. Is anyone familiar with any Mariott hotels (can be Courtyard, Residence Inn, etc. I am a Marriott employee...discount) in the suburbs (preferably south) near a light rail station. It appears the light rail does run late into the night. Am I reading this correctly? Is this a safe/acceptable way to get home late at night. Any other suggestions? Thanks!!!

Also, if anyone knows of a message board that might be more appropriate for this, I would appreciate that as well.

I heard on the local news this morning that every hotel room in Denver Metro is sold out -
There's a nice Marriott in the Denver Tech Center, and its a couple blocks from the Belleview station. You best book your rooms now - I have a feeling every hotel room will be sold out (there's also a Broncos game Monday night).
I use the light rail and find it very safe.
Have a great trip to Denver -
GO ROCKIES!

Light Rail is a good option, but they will almost certainly have RockiesRide buses coming from every direction. Check out RTD's web site The Regional Transportation District Home Page

I've also heard that hotel rooms in Denver are virtually all booked out -- so you'd best find ANY available room now and worry about public transit later.
