Hello.

I've searched for quite some time on the topic of private schools in the Denver area and was hoping to find additional information. I am relocating somewhere south of Denver from Ohio and my kids currently go to a private school ($22k /yr). The are in 1st & 4th grade. What are the top area private schools in the area?

The most consistent school that comes up is Colorado Academy. I didn't know if there are any others that are comparable.

We haven't decided on where to buy a home as the school was going to influence our decision.

Couple other things for transparency:
Work - along i25 (not worried about a commute)
Home price range - $650k-$1m
Areas we like - Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Parker

Thanks for the help!
Bob

Academically I think Colorado Academy and Kent are still the top private schools. Graland is also great, but does not have a high school.

Regis and Valor Christian are tops when it comes to sports. I think their academics are pretty strong as well, but someone else will have to ring in on that.

The areas that you mentioned that you like are all close to I-25. I have friends who have children at Colorado Academy and love the school but that would be a lot of commuting time from the areas that you like. You may want to take a look at Greenwood Village. It would be central to a lot of things and has several private schools in the area such as St. Mary's, Kent, and a newer smaller private school called Aspen Academy that I have heard good things about. The public schools are also excellent in the Cherry School District and Littleton Public School District and they both have some blue ribbon elementary schools.
