Hi,

So this is probably a dumb question but I've never sat in the Rockpile at Coors Field before and I'm wondering if there is food and beer available in that area of the ballpark? I can't find any information about that on the Rockies website.

Can anyone shed any light on this question for me?

Thanks!

I thought there must be since I got a glimse of that driving past but when I checked the list of vendors and types of food available and their location at Coors, there were no listings for anything in the 400s.

Even if you can't find EXACTLY what you're looking for in the Rockpile, Coors Field is set up in such a way that you can walk anywhere in the stadium for anything you want.

Head a little ways down to the Pavilion and get a Helton Burger. We stole it from the Mets, but it's pretty damn good. There's also "Infield Greens" for really nice salads near home plate, and standard ballpark fare about every 10 feet.

Oh sweet, I guess I didn't realize you could still go throughout the stadium even if you were sitting in the Rockpile. I thought maybe they locked you into their own cheap space =)

All this talk of Coors Field is making me miss home! OP, go to the game early and eat at the Sandlot Brewery!

Do what many do, buy in Rockpile and move elsewhere after an inning or two to see what's open. Ushers on 100 level are pretty tough to get by, but up on 300 level it's a breeze to sneak in and there are always open seats.

OMG, how did I not think of that!!! Ha ha. I haven't gone to many Rockies games since I moved out here and I think every time I've gone I've sat in the 300 level. Iknowftbll, where exactly is the Sandlot Brewery? Is that inside Coors Field?

It is on the 100 level in the corner near the right field foul pole. Its decent beer options but I never understood having a brewery inside the stadium where you can't see the game and you have great breweries just outside like Breckenridge.

Yes do this.

The Rockpile is Coors Field's version of subsidized housing. Imagine dirty diapers, toilet paper (?), a drunk guy that's been there for a week that you'll have to step over, and foul smells.

The Pavilion is Annoying Yuppie-ville on the weekends, so if you're okay with that crowd, that's your spot. It's better during the week.

The Club is fine if you like to be waited on, and pay slightly less attention to the game.

The lower level between the poles is the best obviously, the most behaved crowd as well.

The upper level is the best balance of low price and real baseball fans. Sit on the third base side if you want shade, the first base side if you want sun.

-We tried the Rockpile once, didn't like it, and luckily had an usher take sympathy on us.
