Year-round schedules allow for the same amount of time off as traditional schedules, and my family especially enjoys the benefits of being able to travel off-season. Douglas County provides extra-curricular programs all year long, so your kids won't have to go without swimming lessons or day camp. Before you write it off, give it a chance. You may find that you like it. I certainly do!

BTW, only elementary schools in DougCo. use a year-round schedule. Middle Schools and High Schools are all traditional.

All of the tracks have some time off in the summer and some at Christmas.
