OP, I believe the med school itself has clubs for sports, etc. My daughter was in PT school at the health science center, and the PTs played some intramural games with the med students. One of her friends met her spouse that way.

Colorado is a mixed bag. Some of it's like the South. Some of it's like Berkeley and Cali in general. If it doesn't work out, you can consider Cali when you're ready to hit the job market.

I'm relocating to work in our downtown Denver office and will be driving to Denver. Will I have problems because my car has TX license plates? I've lived in Houston for 30 years (originally from RI) and still don't consider myself a Texan.

Tks very much

Houston is at least 30 years ahead of Denver, physically and culturally.

Dont change your tags until law requires, people.

Where did you grow up? I'm looking for a little perspective on your opinions.

What do you mean by "physically?"

Though as an aside, I do find it amusing that at least half of Texas seems to flee up to Colorado during the summer months. For all their talk about "Don't mess with Texas," Texans apparently can't even handle their own summers.

I was curious about that too. Denver has better ranked museums, better theater, and a more highly ranked public transit system.

I think he must mean that we are physically behind because as one of the skinniest cities in the country, we weigh less than Houston, which is one of the fattest.

It's not very diverse here that's for sure, but I don't hear of a lot of racism. I've had horrible luck dating here, but I'm older than you (29) so maybe you'll have better luck in your age range. I've had good luck making friends though through work and even a few friends I met here on CD that live in Denver. Good luck!
