How are the elementary schools ratings in Lakewood, Co? I'm considering relocating to Lakewood to attend RRCC for Mobile App Development. I want to find a decent elementary school to enroll my 9 year old son. He'll be going into the 5th grade. He does have special education needs but he can function in a regular classroom rather than be isolated from his peers.

I wish I could enroll him in private schooling but that's not possible at the moment.

I don't live there or have personal experience but I've been tracking the demographics of some of them due to my granddaughter attends one. You can look at the Jeffco Schools website, JEFFCO Public Schools - Schools and Programs. Look specifically at the link for demographics and test scores for the school you are interested in. They have updated most of the demographics for last year but the testing info is still a year behind. If he has an IEP be sure to walk in with it in hand when you register and the first day. My GD had a speech IEP and I don't think they did anything with it for a couple of months at the school she attended.

There are no "Lakewood" schools.
There are Jefferson County schools. 77K students.
YMMV.

Dismount from that high horse of yours and answer the question.

What he is asking is, "Of all the schools in the city of Lakewood, which are better?"

Inside of the city of Lakewood, the schools that feed into Bear Creek HS tend to be better than those in the central and northern parts of the city.

Bear Creek K-8 is one of the better and more desirable elementary schools in Lakewood.
