I'll be moving to Arvada this month with a car and motorcycle. My present insurance carrier doesn't cover Colorado. Who does everyone suggest I look into for auto and MC insurance? I'll also need renter's insurance. All 3 don't have to be under the same carrier as some will cover a car but not a motorcycle.

I would look at Progressive for MC insurance. I work for a differnet Ins company, and we "sell" most of our MC policy's to Progressive

I have everything under Allstate and they give me lots of discounts for multiple policies.
I've had a few claims, and they never failed to take care of me and give me full value for my lost property.

I used to have Progressive, but after a hail damage claim they wanted to total the car and give me $2,000 less than I bought the car three months earlier for, I said see you later. There is a reason they are so cheap.

Safeco handles all three types, and is generally pretty competitive in the Arvada area. For motorcycles (and I know this because I used to work for them), they really try to go after weekend-Harley kind of riders rather than Sport Bike riders, so keep that in mind.

I have my Auto and renters insurance with All State and that is cheaper than just the Auto insurance I recently had with Geico.

This is a tough call. This depends on your driving record and the vehicles themselves. Your best bet is to call around to a bunch of places and get quotes. Once you have your quotes, then look at the benefits of each company outside of the quote itself such as customer service. Google reviews online about their claims process. You might find a company that charges a bit more annually, but their customer service is top notch and they really take care of the insured.

For instance my car coverage is through Progressive and I've been with them for years. I've had 1 claim over the past 6 years and it was handled very professionally and quickly. I may pay a bit more than other carriers, but I know that if I have another claim, I will get the same level of response and courtesy from them.
