Veg-gal, glad to hear things are moving along well.

A word of caution about movers. Make sure that you research well before choosing, and don't just rely on a good price deal. Check the BBB and Google various movers for reviews. When we moved we discovered that a company called Guardian had horrible reviews and I have posted warnings about them.

Dreaming of Hawaii. thank you for the advice. It's much appreciated. I'm learning just how horrible some moving companies are. Unbelievable!

ABF, upack.com was awesome on my move here from Iowa. More discounts than pods. Search around.

Please post thoughts when you get here. I have a job opportunity in Nashville. Really tempting, great job. BUT I do love it here. Really hard to leave.

Trying to make a decision!

Thanks for the info. That's really good to know.

Nashville is a GREAT place, but it's very humid here in the Summer months, and from my limited research the crime rate in Nashville is higher than the Denver area. However, Nashville is nothing like what most people think the South would be like (those who haven't been to most of the South). Nashville is modern, not in debt like many other cities, lots of business are doing really well, and companies continue to move to this area. The Green Hills area where I live is an AWESOME place to live. Nashville doesn't have as many parks as the Denver does, but there are lots of great things about Nashville.

Property prices in the Green Hills area is a good amount more than the average home in most of the rest of Nashville (Green Hills is a suburb of Nashville) but most Green Hills residents will tell you that it's worth the extra cost in housing to get to live here. However, there are other great neighborhoods here too, not just Green Hills.

If you have any questions about Nashville that I may be able to answer, feel free to ask.

Thank you!!! Good luck with your move. And seriously a "pod" move was the smartest thing I ever did!!! No driving a dumb rental truck 1000 miles!!!
