I recently turned 21 and I just finished college (majored and got my Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistance). I want to escape the humid weather in South Carolina and move to somewhere cooler and nicer. Plus it has always been my dream to live somewhere more central. I was thinking of moving to Washington Park and renting an apartment. I hope to get a job in my field. I would rather have an apartment with a balcony that isn't too far from groceries and shopping areas. !Can amyone lead to me any websites of apartments for rent (one bedroom, one bath), and offer any advice for the move? Also how is the night life and single life there? I am single and wanna meet a girl. Thank you so much for the help!

Try padmapper.com

It is one of the better sites for finding apartments.

Job first - move second. Also, Denver while somewhat centrally located in the USA is very isolated from most things.

Spend 4 hours reading all the Denver-related threads. Focus on the "moving here" ones.
It will give you a good idea of the conditions here.

Wash Park is awesome, but how is your budget?

Search padmapper.com. for apartments.

I have roughly 35k in the bank so I could use it if I cant find a job. Are there many hospitals or privately owned Physical therapy businesses?

The Denver metro area has 2.5M people, I'd bet there are at least a dozen major hospitals here and scores of therapy offices all over the metro area. Use a google search to find the listings of these places. Use craigslist to see job openings. Nothing works as well as actually being here when it comes to getting hired.

If you are looking for the best, Craig Hospital is a top 10 rehabilitation hospital in the US. Spalding Rehab Hospital in Denver also has a huge number of physical therapists.

Overall, there are about 20+ hospitals in the Denver-Boulder metro area as well as many other orthopedic clinics and practices.

Meet a girl?!? Did nobody tell you they call it Menver for a reason? My dating career was lackluster when I lived there and it seemed the single girls there were interested in either rich guys or buff guys. By SC and OK standards, I'm reasonably fit (5' 8", 170, runner) but in Denver, I was the office fat guy.

Considering your degree, hit the gym for 2 hrs each day after your work is done. Maybe I'm wrong but I think it is safe to say a PT assistant doesn't make more than 50k. You'll need to go the buff route.
