Has anyone been to this festival in the past? And if so any suggestions to make this a great event to attend?

Thanks ahead of time. Festival Italiano

Festival Italiano - Lakewood, CO

Personally, I would not go again.
But, that is me.
Lots of people seemed to be having a good time.

1. I am not a fair goer. I really don't care about what the booths are selling. I never buy anything.
2. The restaurants in Belmar suck. When I do go to a fair, I want to end it by going to a decent restaurant for a relaxing lunch. My personal experiences with Belmar restaurants is not good.
3. I did enjoy watching the bocce players in action.

It's great if you have kids, there are parades, fun music, games and grape crushing.

I have to agree with davebarnes the food is mainly pizza...and not that good. Go there for the energy, not the food.

Potenza Lodge and Sons of Italy festivals in North Denver are much more authentic, though I enjoy playing in the Bocce Tournament in Belmar.
