This was my first winter in Denver and I find myself wondering - what snow?! There has been hardly ANY snow so far, and the weather has been really mild except for one week when it was simply unbearable.

Has this winter been unusual? Or is it not over yet? As far as December - March has the weather been unusual? It's just been soooo pleasant and nice so far that I'm confused

Note: this applies to Denver metro area, not the mountains or the east plains
I'd say it's been quite typical. The only thing unusual really was how cold the two "arctic outbreaks" were, one in Dec. and one in early Feb. They usually don't last multiple days or get that far below zero.

As for the snow, I think it's been near average overall. But since it melts inbetween snows, you don't realize how much it's snowed.

March typically gets some very nice and warm days, which we've had. But sometimes April just seems like total crap, with wet, slushy snows, some cold rain, chilly days. By April, most people have just had it with winter and are sick of any snow. Then, in early May, it's like the switch is thrown and no more sub-freezing temps. Although May typically gets plenty of cool, rainy days inbetween warm, sunny days.

My first winter here was 2007-2008, and this one has been the mildest or second mildest since then IMO. Aside from the two very cold snaps, the snow has been light, and we haven't had anything resembling a blizzard this year.

I would not consider this winter to be "normal" for here.

Agreed. From a snow perspective this winter's been fairly mild. Last year we had 2 or 3 storms that brought blizzard warnings to our fair corner of the burgh. None so far this year.

Snowed or flurried most of the day, but the accumulation was laughable, a half inch of dust at best.

Down here the snow has been fairly mild, but up in the mountains and at the ski lodges, they have received a GREAT winter!

Screw snow! lol!

Based on the current weather forecast, and the fact that things really are starting to grow and green up, I'd say we're not in for a repeat of last Spring It's actually feeling like Spring this year It must have rained some at my house last night as everythign was wet this morning.

Yeah, we got snow at some point last night here in Broomfield. Just a dusting. It was gone not long after sun-up.

I was awakened this morning by the sound of someone scraping their windshield! Rofl!
