Carpet places - Homedepot, Lowes, Empire or others in Littleton.
Which is better value and quality?
I need to replace around 1500 sq. ft. in few weeks.
Thanks

Hmmm....
I may put hardwood on the formal living/dining area.
That could be actually cheaper depending upon installation charges.

We went with laminate. The thickest stuff we could find, and it's awesome!!!!!!! We went thru Carpet Exchange in Thornton. Met with a guy named Jerry who was super great! He gave us a cheap deal, and matched the price of sq. ft. I found via some manufacturer in PA. Sooo glad to be done with carpet. You will too. We only have carpet on our stairs and it's so nice not to have to worry about stains and whatnot. Cooler in the summer, and in teh winter, we do wear a lot of slippers, but it's still worth it.

Installation is too expensive on hardwood/laminate floors.
I'll have HD and few others to come out and give carpet estimate and decide.
thanks

My mom went with Carpet Mill. They had the best prices by far.

Lumber Liquidaters generally has low quality products. Anyone who has been in the industry, I was for 40 years, will tell you that. It's usually low quality imported stuff with a lot of short pieces. The more short pieces, the worst it looks installed.

Yes, I read reviews and some were pretty bad.
My rough estimate for hardwood floor only on dining and formal living goes above $5k even with cheap wood so that's out of the question as whole house carpet costs much less than that.

Man it's so confusing.
Some say HD and Lowes are great for customer satisfaction while others mention bad experiences.

I cant suggest where to buy, but I wouldn't use HD again no matter how cheap it was. I have the worst carpet ever and its from them. My kids had it installed before I moved out here, and it snags something awful. They also did a horrible job installing, but I realize they all use different peeps for that. Good luck.
