You want to own a gun be responsible with it.

We have friends with children at Arapahoe (all okay) and many, many friends with kids at area schools nearby who were under lockdown as well. I heard from them, as the helicopters swarmed overhead, how frightening it is to know something terrible is happening close to your children and not only do you have NO control over the situation, you don't know what's really happening.

Thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by today's tragic event in such a beautiful place filled with tremendous people.

Only the gunman dead? Lucky day for Colorado. Hardly even worth mentioning in the news. This will be forgotten about by next week.

If he had killed like 20 kids, then there would have to be a big debate on gun control, that could last for months. Then the NRA would have to come in and spend hundreds of millions dollars to put a stop to all that nonsense. But just the gunman dead, they will probably just ignore it and pretend it didn't even happen.

The Wikipedia article on this incident is already being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policy. I give it till Monday.

This is so sad. My niece goes to Arapahoe H.S. She was in the classroom right next to where all this was taking place. Her teacher went out to see what was going on, saw blood and locked down the classroom. My heart goes out to all the involved children, teachers, and families.
