Yes. You don't even notice it most of the time (well, at least I don't).

Anything you can do in New York, you can do in Denver, but on 1/30th the scale.

No, there is all sorts of stuff to do out on the plains, as well. Skydiving, Bicycling, dirt biking, dune riding, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, Softball is big, if you like playing that. Great Golfing. Denver has a symphony, and a couple of theatre venues, Red Rocks is one of the most astounding venues for music concerts.

I really Like living in Colorado. I do have to say, though, being from back east, originally, Denver is a long way from everywhere else.
When we lived in Raleigh, we could hop in the car and drive to DC, or Baltimore, or the Outer Banks, or the Chesapeake, Up to New York, or Philly, or Atlanta, for a unplanned weekend trip.
During Football season, there was always a couple of College games within an easy drive, and several NFL games usually not that far. NASCAR? always a race close by.

Here, Everywhere is a long drive. so unless you can get cheap airfare, weekend trips are pretty much in Colorado.
Only a few College games within driving distance, and the Pro sports are all one-trick Ponies. If that kind of stuff is really important to you, well, I figure you need to know.

Don't get me wrong. We take weekend trips all the time, but they are out to see the great country places, like Mesa Verde, Taos, NM or the Canyonlands around Moab, UT, or up into the mountains, or we follow the Rodeo. Rodeo has replaced a lot of the time we spent taking in College and Pro Sports. I LOVE Rodeo!

Just thought you need to know about that. You can get to feeling a bit Isolated, if you are used to life back east.

Au Contraire.

Colorado National Speedway | NASCAR Home Tracks

Truly not on par with Talladega, Charlotte, or Daytona, but, it is NASCAR
