I was just checking and it looks like the 24 Hour Fitness in the DTC (on Belleview) has closed. The only option I see is the Denver Athletic Club, which wouldn't be an option for me since I've heard it's over $100 a month Where do people go for lunch workouts in the DTC? I can't believe there isn't a 24 Hour or Ballys around there. Actually, the entire Denver metro area is lacking in fitness clubs, especially for such an athletic population. In California, you're always within a mile of a 24 Hr/Ballys/LA Fitness club.

I hear you. Denver is limited and lacking in so many ways. They shut the DTC location down due to the building managers increasing their rent. The next closest 24 Hour is Lincoln/I-25 the Meridan (corp) location or down on County Line (although that's a sport location).

Yeah, I know about that one. My last contract was near there, so that's where I did my lunch workouts. I timed the drive from the 25 and Orchard up to the 24 Hour on Hampden and it was a 6 min. drive, so that's a better option for the Tech Center. It just blows my mind that there isn't a 24 Hour or Ballys in the middle of the DTC. I mean, how could they not make money? I wonder if 24 Hour is looking for a new location in the area?

I'm not sure. All the front desk gal told me was that the building managers were dramatically increasing rent and 24 Hour didn't want to pay their demands. I agree with you, you'd think a gym would want to be in the heart of it all. Hey, if I had enough money, that'd be a great biz opportunity!
