In case TJ lovers forgot, one store in Boulder, one in Denver and one in Greenwood Village open this Friday. Apparently the second Denver store at 7th and Logan (or so) isn't opening yet.

I'll probably give it a month before attempting to shop though. Or go at a late, odd time during the week.

Never seen or been to a Trader Joes, what's the atmosphere like? Is it like a hipster haven or more general?

I'd say more general. Probably a lot of people who shop at Sprouts will shop there, but TJs isn't all specifically "health food". Although they have a lot of that (at much better prices than Whole Foods). I never cared for TJ's produce, but Sprouts is right around the corner and they have great produce at good prices.

TJs is more about all thier specialty items that are TJs branded, at low to decent prices. Lots of nuts, deserts, frozen fish, healthy frozen meals in a bag (easy work week-night dinners that are different and healthy), breads, cereals, pet food, dairy, prepared salads, meat counter, pastas, sauces, etc.

Do NOT go on opening day!
Do NOT go at peak times.
You might think about going on a Tuesday morning at around 1000.

Oh for sure, the Greenwood Village one is closer to my work so I'll probably try around 11AM in a couple weeks. I find that lunch time is a great time to grocery shop

I used to love Trader Joe's in Phoenix area. Not sure if I want to make the trek all the way up to Denver. Might consider it though, will just have to wait and see.

I'd say more of the Tony's shopper than WF shopper. You won't get the "stink eye" for not bringing your own bag lol!

I only go to WF maybe 4 times a year at most. Because of the prices, and then the closest one to our house is in Cherry Creek, 15 min. away. And overcrowded! I'd probably shop WF a lot if I could afford $1500 a month for groceries and they were nearby.

Does anybody know which location will hold the liquor license? I've heard so much about the Two (is it three now?) Buck Chuck that the wife feels like it's worth trying. I keep telling her it's probably just over-hyped by the boxed wine lovers but she still insists on trying it.
