The Brazillians I know either teach pre-school or the other I know is an eau pair for our next door neighbors. She's lived with them for a couple years. I think they may have had the jobs secured before moving here.

Given where you are from:
"The New York Times reported that "Florianopolis is the Party Destination of the Year in 2009." on January 11, 2009. Newsweek placed Florianópolis in the "Ten most dynamic cities of the world" list in 2006.["
I would think just about any of the big cities along the coasts + Chicago would be good. I figure when you say football you mean soccer here so you should research which places have teams.

I don't think a person who loves NYC would love Denver or vice versa except as a place to visit.
Hey, when you say '' along the coasts'' do you mean East or West? Thanks!

Any of the east (NY, Philadelphia, Boston, DC, Atlanta, Miami), west (San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle) or south (Houston) coast big cities would be good candidates. Chicago in the heartland.

I looked back at your old posts and saw how much city life meant to you so that is why I suggested the bigger cities.

Why not Denver?

Because Denver is very small and limited when it comes to real city life. See post #3 for more detail on my reasoning.

Hum, Seattle seems nice by what I´ve been hearing. It has lots of hotels, its a little expensive but not absurd.

Well, "very small" is relative. If you moved here from Manhattan, then sure. If you moved here from Tulsa, it's a big city. And compared to its peer cities, Denver has quite a nice downtown and urban vibe.

Agreed. I don't know why so many are trying to warn the OP off Denver.

''Warn the OP''? Haha, I never heard that. What does it mean?
*I´m trying to learn a little more of these words
