But we are going to keep the game squeezed down to that little bitty box anyway, and continue to milk this thing for everything it is worth. Because we only care about our commitment to your safety (tears in eyes).

Let's put it this way.

If 9NEWS was showing a BRONCOS game, they would not have preempted the gameplay for any sort of weather alert. They WOULD NOT HAVE.

They would have pushed the weather alert to a commercial slot at the beginning or end of its run.

Now, I don't know if 9NEWS had last night's game 7 on or not, but I watched it completely uninterrupted on NBCSN. The Kings, who were beloved by me in my youth, prevailed in overtime in an amazing game.

Kings over the Rangers in 7.

If this had happened during a Broncos playoff game, I think some people would have rioted at 9news with torches and pitchforks.

That is funny. You have a shot of sunshine on Southern California beach with a severe weather update at the bottom.

I hope the OP isn't watching TV right now. There are a few twisters running a muck.

Would be interesting to see how NBA Finals gets treated in same situation by another channel. Or a regular season NFL game not involving the Broncos.

The NBA Finals had a scrolling bar during the game last night. No interruptions.

That's more what I would expect. Watch tomorrow when a horse goes for the Triple Crown at the time bad weather is expected, we'll see what 9News does then. I suppose they could turn their loop of radar off for 3 minutes.
