Gas is maybe 20 cents more than in colorado, and alot of things like produce are way fresher and cheaper. Cali is still really affordable for young people without kids and a family. Not really much more than I'd pay in Colorado in a nice area.. And there's so much more to do here than just the beach
I disagree about gas being only 20 cents more. I grew up in San Diego and we were just out there the end of March for vacation. At most places gas was 40 to 50 cents more than what it is here in Colorado.

That being said I completely miss surfing. I grew up on the beach and the ocean is still my favorite place to be. I can sit and watch the waves all day long. Luckily I still have family out there that I can stay with.

It's more than 50 cents.

Are we comparing apples to apples here? CO has 85 grade gasoline. SD as far as I know does not. Are we comparing 87 to 87?

I miss SoCal in winter. In June? Not so much. June is about as "near perfect" weather as you can get. Then it's a little too hot until mid August.
