Hi - I'm relocating to the Denver area for a new job. Its on Mt. Pyramid Ct. in Englewood.
The immediate to my work surrounding areas seem suburban, family oriented, and very vanilla. I am a single female and hope to make new friends and enjoy a reasonable social scene. I've been told the commute from Downtown ( say, Lodo ) is vicious, and back is worse in the evening rush hour. I'd be grateful for any comments. Live near DTC? Other? Help!

The commute is terrible. But, if you live in Washington park/DU area, or South Broadway/(Baker) it won't be quite as terrible. (The latter still being the worst)

If you're not car dependent for work you can take the light rail, which is frequent, easy, and efficient especially during rush hour. However from the street given it stops a mile short. Check rtd-denver.com - they have circulator buses in the that area, so if it doesn't look like too much of a time eater (which that "last mile" issue often is) it could be an option.
