Western suburbs had flurries in the air on my drive to school/work this AM at about 6:45 (Lakewood-Broomfield). Nothing sticking, so no clear evidence that it was actually snowing, but flakes in the air were clearly visible.

I had a little bit of snow on my windshield but nothing on the grass or street. Forecast says 80s starting on Sunday through next week. Come on Summer, stick around just a little longer.

We had a very light dusting on the patio furniture and porch railing. I ran into flurries driving into work on Arapahoe Road between E-470 and Parker. Other than derailing my 14er climb this weekend it's no big deal. It'll be 80 by Sunday.

I hit the flurries off E-470 and Peoria. Good moisture. My sprinklers have been off for weeks.

Is this a sign to come of what kind of Winter we may have? I wouldn't mind the snow but hopefully we don't have too many sub zero days.

Probably not. Fall's definitely trending cooler and wetter than normal but a September snowstorm isn't a harbinger of what's to come.

We went from having the windows open the night before to turning the heater on last night. I love Spring and Fall.

When I looked at the weather this morning, it showed Broomfield as being 36. Garner, NC (where I moved to Colorado from) was showing as 75.
Summer doesn't officially end for another nine days.

Don't worry, it is going to be back in the 70s tomorrow and the 80s from Sunday on. My truck read 36 degrees.

It always seems to snow the week of Halloween.

Yeah... at least there's variety in the weather here, so I can appreciate that. Back in Mississippi, it was either hot and muggy (rain or shine), or it was a hurricane.
The absence of alligators in Colorado is another added bonus.

I was living in Denver in September, 1996 when we got about 7" of snow on September 20/21. (which brought down tree limbs and knocked out power all over the place). It never snowed that much again through out the winter of 96/97. So I don't think it really means anything. We've just been in a very wet pattern all summer. I've heard all sorts of predictions for this winter, but who knows?
