My husband and I (and our baby girl and pets) are planning to relocate to evergreen or surrounding area.
We are just wondering more about the area. I see that they are pet friendly which is great, and I read the school system in evergreen is great too!

We plan to rent and then eventually buy. What areas would you recommend for more family oriented? We also plan to get involved in church right away so will be looking for a fun laid back non denominational church with a great children's program:-) Are there some places better to rent than others? Any recommendations on where to look for rentals or realtors to use? We are open to rent to own too!

We love the outdoors and being from Fargo ND are hoping to move this fall before another winter!

Any and all advice is welcomed and greatly appreciated!

Hi Sara ~ Evergreen and nearby areas such as Genesee, Conifer, Morrison, and Pine are larger than you think. More information from you is necessary to give you the guidance you are seeking. How accessible do you want to be to a highway, grocery stores, everyday amenities? Where is work going to be (makes a difference for living closer to I-70 or Hwy. 285)? What kind of rental budget are you thinking?

Rental properties in our area go very, very fast. Many rentals are just word of mouth. I do have a few property management companies that might be able to assist you and our local forum, Pinecam.com - An Electronic Community In The Colorado Rockies usually has rental properties listed under their Real Estate section. What kind of pets are you going to be bringing? As far as rent to own...it's not as easy or encouraged as it sounds. The good homes in all price ranges actually sell in these towns. The reasons you are wanting to move here are the same reasons other folks are wanting to move here as well. The ones that might entertain a rent to own agreement are the "leftovers". Meaning, well qualified, active buyers have passed those properties up for one reason or another (condition, location, unrealistic high price).

There are many churches in these parts, but off the top of my head, I can't think of any non-denominational churches. There are Christian churches that allow anyone to come to their services. Are you looking for more of a Unitarian church?

I wouldn't consider any area unsafe for kids and families, but you can check various crime stat and registered sex offender websites to check that type of information on your own.

Good luck in your search. If you'd like additional help, you can send me a DM through C-D.

Flatirons Church (based in Lafayette) has a big satellite church in Genessee. Nondenominational.
