Lovin' it! After a pretty dry March, we need the moisture.

Eh, it will melt soon enough. Even that monster of a snowstorm about this time last year that took down trees all over my neighborhood was mostly gone by the next day.

It was all rain on my drive down to Lone Tree this morning. And it hasn't stuck to our trees (the ones with leaves) enough to damage them.

I'm just over the line from Lone Tree, and I've got about six inches sitting on top of my picnic table, which is what I use to measure snowfall. We've had rain and sleet on and off for the last hour. Roads are clear. What clung to trees is coming down in clumps. It's warm outside. This will be gone soon.

We had about 7 inches of heavy wet snow at our house. Our neighbor's tree lost branches that fell into our yard. Good moisture and it is supposed to continue through the weekend.

Sorry to read that. We had a similar situation last year with a neighbor's maple. Huge boughs came down in the middle of the night. Scared the daylights out of me. This year, the tree fortunately has just a hint of spring growth, so it shed most of the snow before it got really heavy.

Luckily the branches are not that big.

What I am worried about is our apple trees. They were flowering before this cold snap so hopefully it won't stop the apples from producing like it did two years ago.

We may get lucky. This is pretty warm snow.
