It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't raining and the sun was shining. I'm glad I'm hibernating today

Gonna try to get one last hike in before the weather gets chilly - if the missus doesn't have a honey-do list waiting for me. Just a small one - the loop at Rock Park in Castle Rock. Supposed to be in the single digits and teens for most of the week.

I just saw the forecast for this upcoming week and immediately checked this forum to see if there was a new thread for 2014-2015 snow.

CAN'T WAIT! I hope to see some sizable snow totals here in Denver!

Got the hike in today. Almost climbed to the top of Castle Rock. Found an easy way up and climbed it 2/3 of the way, but decided against summiting because the health insurance hasn't kicked in at the new job yet. Changed the air filter in the furnace and the pad in the humidifier, and turned the humidifier on. I'm leaving the windows open tonight in protest of what's to come.

Oh yeah. Because 2 degrees is just so effing pleasant

I'm hoping for zero snow and a return to normalcy! I love Denver, but really, I have no business living here in winter.

I'm ready for some snow. It's approaching mid-November....Other than the driving in it, I enjoy the winter. Well, except for that winter of 06/07 which seemed to never end. I confess I do enjoy the occasional blizzard/snowed in for a couple of days times. They don't happen often but there always seems to be a sense of community when everyone is out shoveling periodically. I see neighbors shoveling for each other and/or serving beverages (hot or cold), kids and dogs out playing once it's stopped. I love it.
