Wealthy people don't work. Wealthy people don't know what they have in the bank, because they don't care because they don't have to worry about running out- unless they are completely stupid and irresponsible.
Very true. The masses with household incomes well under $100K are lower middle income to poverty. The middle class is shrinking.

We are in the #9 zip code and we are definitely not wealthy. I have tried to be a stay at home mom as we also homeschool (not impressed with DougCo), but I have had to go back to work in order for us to get by, and my DH has what is considered a "high paying professional job."

Yeah, people actually live here and stuff. A whole bunch of them.

Just the city/county of Denver itself goes from 80202-80207, 80209-80212, 80216, 80218-80224, 80227, 80230-80231, 80235-80239, 80246-80247, 80249.

And we've got suburbs. Not tons of them, but several huge ones.

Denver™. We're bigger than San Diego, but somehow not yet as big as Cleveland.

Sometimes people look at what another person owns as well as where they live and say "they're rich". Well, in 2005, we did buy a bowrider boat, but it was a 1989.......far being a new one! But, also had two vehicles. A '97 truck and a 2005 SUV. I drove the '05 to work sometimes and I knew some of my co-workers seen it. So, because of the area our house was in AND having two vehicles, one being almost new (bought it used) AND that we had a boat........wife and I were considered rich to some of my co-workers. These co-workers knew our boat was a 1989, NOT a new one, but driving a new SUV to work probably made wife and I "look" rich. We were both working w/descent salaries, but under $100K per year.

Heck, we've both seen what rich people have as far as a house and a boat goes, and we AREN'T rich! But, compared to where some of my co-workers lived, I could see where they would think that we were rich.

Save your money. Divorce lawyers are expensive.

I'm curious. What exactly is your perception of Denver if you didn't think it even had 25 zip codes?

Thanks for the tip . We have been married for almost 14 years and it is still great. My wife has rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia so I gave her the option to quit her job to take care of her health. Stress at work was too much and only escalated her symptoms.

Just let him think it is still a cow town. I love that perception.
