Park Hill had a number of problems in the 1990s like many other inner-city neighborhoods, but it has improved a lot since then. I feel safe just about anywhere south of MLK. The biggest challenge is your $500K budget, which limits you to a smaller home in the neighborhood.

LOL. I kind of expected different since the past several schools to open in Stapleton were named after people. I don't really mind the name Northfield, though, even if it is named after the shopping center (which is in turn named after the section of the airport/runways that were there).

And emm74 is right about the much higher property taxes. Somebody has to pay for the cost of turning a commercial airport site into a huge housing development
