Just 10 miles south of Buckley would put you in the Cherry Creek school district. Another 10 miles would put you in some of the highest ranked schools within the district. It's pretty easy to have a 20 to 30-minute commute to Buckley and be in good schools. Look at SE Aurora.

There are affordable (under $2K) rentals in the CCSD.

In the Mission Viejo neighborhood:

3803 S Ouray Way, Aurora, CO 80013 is For Rent | Zillow

4108 S Laredo Way, Aurora, CO 80013 is For Rent | Zillow

Farther east/southeast:

18825 E Napa Dr, Aurora, CO 80013 is For Rent | Zillow

22804 E Progress Ave, Aurora, CO 80015 is For Rent | Zillow

5596 S Valdai St, Aurora, CO 80015 is For Rent | Zillow

Personally, I would not choose to commute from Louisville. It could take hours on the worst weather days.

Your mind is obviously made up where you want to live, so why are you asking here? People have told you where you should be looking, and you don't like their advice. So move to Louisville and enjoy your long drive and sitting in traffic for hours everyday.

How can an entire large school district be overpriced?

You are confusing the Cherry Creek neighborhood with the Cherry Creek School District. There is affordable housing within the CCSD.

By the way, when looking at real estate it's import any to understand the difference between expensive and overpriced. Those two terms mean very different things.

Would Louisville be worth it?
Nothing like staring into the sun daily on your commute.

No it isn't worth it. Take the suggestions to heart.

I think you're hearing wrong because you want to.

Cherry Creek is an exclusive Denver neighborhood.

Cherry Creek School District is a well-performing suburban school district that covers a good portion of S/SW Arapahoe County, in Aurora, Centennial, Greenwood Village, etc.

The two are completely unrelated. You are well beyond likely to find a house as described in Cherry Creek School District, and not have to suffer through the traffic.

Louisville is a great area, but even at 5:30am it's still a long haul.
I would definitely consider plan "B"
