Coming from Miami I know all about heat and humidity. It blows but I told the bf we have one more year here and then we are going east coast again. Maybe not FL but maybe back to NC or somewhere in GA

I moved here from SC. If we ever moved back there or the east coast, I am dreading going back to the heat and humidity. Chances are we might after a few years though, a promotion is in line and their corporate office is back east, though not SC. A main factor of relocating again is related to this thread, we were outbid a few times and lost interest in this highly competitive market. I am staying out of the market because somewhere I would like to live is too expensive and we aren't even sure this is were we'd like to plant roots. Love it here, though it may just be temporary.

I love it here in the Denver Metro area and Colorado in general but if I ever could make it work we would move back to San Diego in a heart beat. Although it is getting expensive here my money still goes farther here than it does in Southern California. For now it is a great vacation spot twice a year.

Denver has a lot cheaper housing than Southern California

its winters are far more temperate than the mid-west; and Atlanta summers. . no f'n way I would consider that humidity death trap mold fest.

Oh, for goodness sake, I grew up in a God-forsaken southwest Ohio city not far from where a F5 tornado wiped out an entire town, suffocating summer humidity is relentless, and winter ice storms take down power lines and bring the entire place to a standstill for a week at a time. But the fall leaves are pretty, and you can buy a 100-year-old death trap of a "house" in the ghetto for $5k.

Denver is freakin' paradise!
