Hello!
I am looking for someone who can tell me if there is a city with the things i'm looking for within a 30-40 minute drive to Denver. Here is the list:
1.Lower crime rate
2. Lots of parks and trails
3. Lots of things for young families to do
4. Nice views (mountains, lakes, rivers)
5. Shopping areas in short drive or walk
6. Good school systems
7. Cute downtown area
8. Active lifestlye
9. Friendly people/small community feel (easy to make friends as an adult)
10. Low unemployment rate
Now of course, not all these things will be met, but I am looking for a city as close as possible to this. If it helps, I am going to become a nurse, so a nearby hospital would be nice. Thank you for your help

Denver has plenty of mountain vistas, but lakes and rivers are in short supply. Southeast Aurora will get you decent distant mountain views, a reservoir, trails, and good schools, but there's no real downtown.

Evergreen, Conifer, Mountain Area Morrison. Almost checks off everything on your list. I have many friends who are nurses and I was a pediatric nurse for 11 years. You'd be able to commute to a few hospitals pretty easily or always work for one of the doctor's offices/medical centers in Evergreen or Conifer.

These fit the criteria the OP listed above, but
they don't fit the criteria listed in a more general post the OP made in the US Forum .
The above areas have too much snow and cold and are not large enough for the OP's tastes.
Given the original list, I am not sure that Denver or Colorado is what the OP is looking for.
