Hi all!

I will be in Denver in late September for a conference. Arrive Thursday around 6, leave Sunday around 5. We have conference stuff Fri and Sat til 4 and Sun til 11:30.

What can/should I do in my free time in Denver? We are staying downtown, a couple blocks from the capital (which I've been told you have to at least walk to see

I know it's not the best way to see it since we don't have much time but I'm sure we can find some way to enjoy the vibe!!

Thanks

If you're a bookworm, a must is Tattered Cover Bookstore.

There are theaters, Coors Field for baseball, brewpubs, lots of good eats, etc.

Mike made a funny! Late September the Broncos will be in action. Better to check that out than the crapfest at 20th and Blake - unless they're pushing 100 losses.

I looked up your other posts and see you are in Pittsburgh. While I'm not from the 'burgh, I have a lot of family there and one thing I think would be fun for you is to try to go around some of the residential areas of Denver like Park Hill - it's astonishing how similar a lot of the architecture is to Pittsburgh.

Otherwise, if you can share some more specifics of things you like, people can give you more specific suggestions.

If there's a home Broncos game at that time the OP would be well advised to order tickets from the Broncos website as soon as they go on sale, even the half-price nosebleed seats they set aside for non season ticket holders. But if the OP has to leave at 5PM, he/she would probably miss the game. The football stadium is right off of downtown.

Broncos have only one home game in September on the 13th. They are away until Oct. 4th. They also only have one game in October too. The schedule is very back loaded this year.
