Hi -- My parents are visiting this week and next and will be here for July 4th. I've been to a couple random fireworks shows in the area, but I was wondering if anyone knows what the biggest and the baddest one is?

I'd like to wow them since they've only seen small town fireworks shows. I've heard the Aurora spectacular and the Denver Civic center ones are pretty big.

Is there an actual definitive list?

Thanks

Take them to a ballgame at Coors field and stay for the fireworks. They are right over your head. Very fun atmosphere as well to be at a ballgame on the 4th.

Never mind - I see they aren't in town this year.

The Colorado Rapids are boasting the largest public fireworks show in the state (I am pretty sure that they are not referring to their team's offense.).

There is a concert, festival and even a soccer game. Events outside the stadium are free.

We're going. It's a semi-tradition in our family. Our younger daughter's birthday is July 4, and she likes soccer. Even though she doesn't live with us any more (or even in-state), DH and I are going for old times. heading, don't be a party pooper.

It was a joke. My B-day is the 5th so 4th of July was always a big deal for me growing up. I do agree that this event would be a good one to go to. I've talked with many people who have gone in the past and they always say great things about it.

Go gamble in Blackhawk and @ 10pm the fireworks start, it lasts for about 1 hour, most $ spent on fireworks in this area.

I was hoping to have my daughter a few days on either side of July 4. I was due July 5. She probably got hold of a calendar and said "I know they don't want me to be born today, so I think I will be." She's been that way ever since! Lots of fun!
