Hello All:

I'll be moving to Evergreen from Parker in the next couple of weeks and would like some restaurant recommendations for Evergreen and other surrounding foothill areas (ie. Conifer, Idaho Springs, etc.) that don't require a drive into Denver.

I realize foothill towns may not have the culinary choices Denver does, but what are some favorite local hang-outs that are worth giving a shot? I enjoy all types of food, but sushi, BBQ, home cooking and healthier choices are on my short list. Local "hole-in-the wall's" are great too.

Let's hear what you got!

Thanks!

I really enjoyed Willow Creek in Evergreen when I was up that way on an interview. Had a nice view of the lake and it was relatively quiet (hate "busy" restaurants). The food was great, the waitress was staff was helpful and friendly. The price was a little higher than I usually spend to eat out by myself.. but it was paid by the company

285 Diner in Conifer is pretty good for breakfast. It's located in the same shopping center as the King Soopers.

Also join nextdoor.com (a free, private social network app within your neighborhood). Your new neighbors will know where the good places to eat are located. It will also help you with lots of other info your neighbors are sharing.

I like the Wildflower Cafe, One World Cafe (funky little place) and Da Kind Soups.
I've been to Willow Creek - it's in a nice location on the lake. But I thought the prices were too high for what you get.
