I am planning to move to Denver burbs next March or April, if possible. And will be in Denver
next wee to look around. EVeryone on the phone tells me that1-2 bedroom apartments are hard to find in
Thornton, Northglenn, Lakewood, etc and it is a sellers mar[u]ket. [u]If that is so, then why am I getting
numerous emails from apartment managers everyday? Too many to look at all of them. My price range
is up to about $1360 a month. I live about 1000 miles away
. Besides, so many have a ridiculous cat
deposit of $300 or more plus cat rent. I never heard of such a ripoff. I may get a cat and have had
cats for decades, and they did almost no damage to the apartment in all that time.

Advice?

Welcome to really low vacancy rates.
1. Pet deposits are very common.
2. Monthly pet rent/fees are common.
3. You are getting emails because emails are cheap and easy to send.
4. Looking at them physically is an excellent idea.

Welcome to greater Denver. You will be joining 25,000 other people who will move here in 2016.
