This is my second winter. My question is: Is this a normal winter for Denver? Just curious.

In my experience having been here more than 20 years, there isn't really so much as "normal" as much as "not unusual". I don't think this winter is unusual so far.

Is what normal? That we occasionally get snowstorms like the one today? Yep. Normal.

It's still Fall. We normally get 55 to 60 inches of snow a season.

Touché. We still have a week until winter is official.

It will be back in the 50s by the weekend so life can resume. The news missed this one big time.

True. i think everybody was caught off guard, though I must say it's nice hangin' out at home. Today is a welcome respite from the hurry scurry of this time of year. The road outside my house is a snow route, and still no plow. Not much traffic. Looks like most of my neighbors have taken the day off. Anybody been out on the highways? I listened to the Sheriff's department live feed for awhile this morning, and it was non-stop accident call outs.

As has been pointed out, we're not even into winter yet. We're just getting started. Roll up your sleeves and put on the thermal underwear; we've got another 4 or 5 months to go! LOL

but don't pack away your shorts just yet. You might still be able to use them.
