NY pizza: Anthony's or Grimaldis.

I also like the area around the park and across the bridge (Amatos and the stuff around there).

I also like the Tennyson area in the Highlands.

Not the pizza again!

There are places in Denver (Anthony's is one) where you can get a decent slice (emphasis on decent). There is no really good NY style pizza in Denver. It's an altitude thing with the crust.

To get a true Colorado experience, Eat something smothered in green chile (burrito--breakfast or otherwise, huevos rancheros, chile cheese fries, whatever). You'll pretty much find green chile anywhere.

Correction - you'll pretty much find green chile everywhere. And for sure, a better bet than pizza.

If you are feeling really adventurous try Rocky Mountain oysters.

Thanks for the the hookup on the green chile. Was not aware that was a Denver thing. Is there a decent Mexican place downtown or uptown you guys would suggest for the best green chile?

And er...no on the Rocky Mountain Oysters haha.

and I only bring up the Pizza because I once had the best NY pizza in my life in Phoenix at a place run by a couple of transplants. While MPLS has NYC transplants aplenty....they didn't bring their pizza skills....was hoping someone in Denver did....
