The subterranean villages accessed by the Denver subway system are among the most secretive and special. Otherwise, mentioning and highlighting "desirable" locations usually brings a torrent of people into such areas, overwhelming and ruining them in the process. Therefore, among the sane and the wise, "mum's the word".

I think if more people knew about them, they wouldn't be awesome anymore.

LOL Casa Bonita. Surprised the next morning on the toilet? It is a cultural jewel or childhood memories.

Roxborough State Park is a pretty cool place that seems pretty low key.

I also like how everyone is trying to play it like mentioning a spot to the 15 people who read this forum will ruin their secret place.

Interesting.

Speaking of cemeteries, the Fairmount Cemetery by Lowry is a pretty cool place. You can take guided or self-guided walking tours where you can learn a lot about early Denver history and the prominent city founders buried there. Our tour ended up being 3 hours, twice as long as planned, because the guide couldn't stop talking.
