Hello fellow Diners....

We love dining out, it is actually kind of a hobby. I am not in the area yet, but when I am a dining out meetup club would be fun...I have thought of this kind of thing before but never really done anything about it. So, if you would like tostart up one with me...I will post it as I get to the area.....and start a job...and get settled..haha

Default the fine art

Yes, we all do have eating in common...However, my DH and I think we have taken this mere task into a fine art...we truly love the experience of good food. Therefore, we tend to avoid chains. If a cook or chef (it can be grandma or a highly trained) puts their love into the making the difference can be tasted. it does not have to be expensive but unique is good. Even ordinary dishes can be special with the right cook, then ambiance and the right service....with this in mind any more suggestions on a place to try...
thanks
Brandi

I like the idea. A good way to meet other transplants (replants in our case) and get some good food in the process.

No get together materialized, at least not to my knowledge. It would be fun to have one, especially with a forum moderator.

I guess since I started this thread, I may need to take the lead on trying to organize one. After the holidays, that is.

So who all is interested? Then the next question is what type of food (Mexican, Asian, Italian, etc.)?

MODERATOR COMMENT: Rather than fill up this thread with a bunch of "count me in" replies, those who ARE interested PLEASE send a Private Message to gpraceman, who I thank for taking the lead. Thanks to all.

Default good new Castle Rock place...

My wife and I went to Siena at the Courtyard here in CR a week or so ago. Its that new place across from the fire station, Crow Foot coffee, etc on Perry St in the new building there, for those familiar w/ Castle Rock. A good addition to that block. Nice atmosphere and pretty good food. Fairly reasonable for a bit nicer place (paid $18 of a steak, less than $30 for a bottle of wine I think).

So if you live here and want something new but dont feel like driving up to south metro, give it a try.
