Hello everyone, about us...

My wife (32) and I (34) are coming from the Phoenix metro area and are planning a scouting trip in mid July for an inevitable move to assist her elderly grandmother that needs help. My wife is a High School teacher with her masters and national accreditation and I am an aviation A&P mechanic myself. We have looked at many posts on here and have determined that the south/southeast Denver area (Centennial/Aurora) would be closest to her grandmother and jobs for me, but no decisions have been made. We will be in town for around 4 days/4 nights and are looking to familiarize ourselves with the area. We will get an apartment for 1-2 years before purchasing a house.

Important to us:
Safe
Affordable
2 bedroom apartment ($1000-1300)
Ok with suburbs
Quiet, family neighborhood is fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions for scouting and a little leisure while we are there? Any help and advice would be helpful and appreciative!!! If more info is needed just let me know. Thanks

Coming from: //www.city-data.com/city/Surprise-Arizona.html

Regards,
Josh

Thank you for the links, I did read those. Any insight regarding certain neighborhoods within those areas or certain ones to stay away from?

Thanks again.
