I suppose people shouldn't take issue about crime here either, because, you know, there's places like Chicago, St. Louis, and Detroit out there.

I grew up in Southern California. The traffic there is insane BUT Denver is getting bad and on some parts of I25 it is just as bad if not worse than California. We don't have the infrastructure in place yet to support this many people.

You say you are a professional with a Masters degree. I know a lot of people that have Masters that are not paid very well simply for the fact that their masters isn't in a field that doesn't pay well in the first place. Too many people believe getting that extra piece of paper will put them over the top but that is not always the case. That being said salaries here are not keeping up with COL.
Thanks in part of families and media drilling it in our heads that "Going to college is a gateway to a good paying six-figure career, guaranteed*. Otherwise you fail at life."

(*not really.) What they don't tell you that networking, nepotism, and living in a crowded overpopulated expensive city is what you should of done BEFORE getting that expensive piece of paper until right before you graduate. Since the college already has your money there are no refunds.
