I just came across this forum and I just wanted to say that it is awesome. I have been searching around and found it to be a very valuable resource. I just got a job working at Denver Health. I will be relocating in a few weeks and coming out to find a place to live in about 3-4 days. I need help finding a place to rent. I have been looking at rent.com and other similar websites as well as craigslist.

I am moving out with my girlfriend and our small boxer and we would like a 2 bedroom that allows pets. We could maybe do a really large 1 bedroom depending on the layout. I would like to be semi close to work and we are young (24 and 25) so we would like to be in a younger stylish area if possible. We prefer to keep rent under 1000 a month as we can move up a little oncde my girlfriend has found a job and we have saved a little. I have been looking around downtown, cheesman park areas but I not sure what is safe. Any help would be much appreciated.

Also since I'm asking...is it possible to comute by bike park of the year or is traffic to crazy?

There is lots of information on this forum about your concerns. You can look in the indexes or do a search. Many neighborhoods have young professionals and grad students living there. I like the area around the University of Denver where my daughter lives. You can def find a place around there in your price range. I think you could bike part-year. Someone recently posted a link to the bike paths. You could search for that, too.

Good luck!
